My coop is a bit of a work in progress, we've been working on the stupid think a YEAR now.

According to Daryl, he had 3 buildings with a total of 1300 square feet, (20x15, 20x40 and 20,10), in addition to runs.

Chill people.

Once they get used to their new digs, they'll spread themselves out amongst the buildings. I applaud you for giving a home to production chickens....

And now, back to our previous topic,

When my daughter was born, the nurse told me that she was pretty cute. I asked her if she had to say that about all the babies and she replied, "No, there are 'cute' babies and there are 'sweet' babies."

That being said, these are some pretty 'sweet' looking coops!

On the plus side, my chickens have never complained, and they have almost 10ft of space indoors each! (some get more than others apparently)
Its great for winter - they're not all on top of each other, and can even dust bath because of the dirt floor - so ugly YEAH! but works great!

we started with that one shed, its 20x7 and we just opened up the other side, little shed which is about 8x7 or there abouts... they have a door to go between the two - I can close them off if needed, I might use the small side for broody's and babies, but for now it WAS supposed to be for the ducks!

Man, I love that horse trailer coop! I will be posting pictures of what has to be the winner of the ugly coop contest tomorrow though. My temporary coop, is made up of 2, 4x8 sheets of osb, 6 milk crates, and 6, 2x4 sheets of plywood that are sorta screwed to the "Frank Lloyd Blight Sandwich" coop that my 12 year old and I threw together while I am waiting for my chicken,"Hogan" to get built. My chooks dont seem to mind, and they do seem to be glad to be away from the goat and the back yard, but the evil neighbor sure doesnt looke happy as he drives by and glares every morning at the ,"Ascendo Tuum Gallerium" he inspired. I wont be painting this one, but if he keeps calling the county on me, I do have my pallet of free paints that the kids are just itching to try out.
