How interesting! I know someone who grows poke for sale. It has to be eaten when it's very young (just a shoot) otherwise it's poisonous when it's older.

heres my poormans chicken coop it works real good not the best looking but works great.
was made out of an old barn there is 2 pens inside and an open space with a roost and nest box for my free range chickens

FREE RANGE CHICKENS AREA..

FRONT OF THE COOP

COOP 8 X 12 HOLDS 7 CHICKENS AT THIS TIME

i posted in wrong contest first time,,, so here we go AGAIN,,hahaha

this is my pheasant pen,, and half coop them, half chickens,,

this 1 is the peafowl coop,,,,,

this is the "for sale" chicks play area,,hehe,,,,,

and heres their favorite spot,,,,,just shade scraps,,hehe,,,,,,,,

I'm really happy to see all these "ugly" coops. Obviously the chickens don't care, and I'm tired of hearing "oh we built a little coop this weekend" only to see a professionally painted and carpentered (complete with trim) beautiful coop that even Martha Stewart would love. Thanks guys!

The birds really don't care as long as they have food, water and shelter. I have a decent little barn but it can't compare to some of the sweet coops on here.

I love seeing pictures of everybody's places though - no matter what they look like. I'll even try to post some of my own this weekend.
