Meanwhile, in the incubator... I kept hearing this cheeping and thought it was my other currently hatching egg, but, no, it was an egg that got overambitious and pipped internally AND externally and was pushing through the cracks where there was still bloody membrane. I put some coconut oil in the hole and dabbed off the blood, so hopefully he'll finish his thing there. He's still in the egg, and he's moving his mouth, so he's still absorbing, but his beak is free. Also, ANOTHER one started cheeping. I'm hoping to sell them when they get older. I'd actually love to have a little duck farm/education center one day because they're such interesting little things!
