Uh oh, a roo?

Ya I know (shhhhh) I’m not going to look into it until I hear a crow

she is 17 weeks old though so egg laying will come soon (if she isn’t a cockerel) I did buy her as a pullet and most Wyandotte’s I have seen at that age are a lot more developed, but ‘she’ doesn’t fool anyone ‘she’s’ probably a cockerel :barnie
I’m kind of mad at myself to, she was the one I spent less time with because the Orpington was the one I thought was secretly a cockrel. Unfortunately the Wyandotte is the least socialized  (typical)

Unless they were mislabeled, here are my EEs. They are 16 weeks old and have pretty short tails. One has pointier hackles than the other. Neither has much of a comb yet, both have single combs.

And ofcourse no one ever wants to stay still for a photo 😒

He looks very much like my little Wyandotte cockerel, actually.
Mine is 16 weeks.

“The Bean”

(not the Wyandotte lol)
Unfortunately all of them have a certain little Wyandotte photo bombing (what can I say they’re best buds) and blocking her, or only show her back. I’ll hook you up with some high quality ones when I get home (going to go and ride) ;)
Full body pics for gender?

maybe, I’ll look for some ;) I’m not exactly sure I want to know the answer. I can have roosters and as many of them as I want here, I just have not had great luck in the past (might be a wonderful excuse to buy an incubator though )

I just went through my camera roll and I do not have any full body photos of her (Orpington baby blocking in every single one) but I’m on my way home so I’ll get some more recent and better photos
(I have some of ‘her’ in the coop if you want to see that one, but it’s not my proudest photo- it’s from the day before I cleaned the coop )

Yeah, you know ever since week 7 I’ve been holding my breath  I don’t need BYC confirmation to know He is a dude  I’m still just not willing to accept it!:he

Take my word for it- as soon as I hear a pitiful voice-crackly crow, there will be an incubator in my Amazon cart and it will be here before he even has a chance to grow into his feet 😂

I’m actually not surprised that I accidentally got the BYC confirmation I didn’t want to hear- Just to show of My baby Bean

I think “Valentine” is going to have to be “Valentino”
Let’s hope he’s a sucker for his girls like my last Roo.

Im kind of happy though- I’ve wanted another Roo for a while I’m just kind of scarred from Bruce 😬 I’m pretty sure he ended up on the table before his new owners even got a chance to hear him crow 😂

The brat was so sweet to his girls though. Pampered them, brought them gifts, the worst tidbitter but he tried, and he never hurt any of his girls in breeding. But to humans?

I don't think that Wyandotte is a boy.
