The problem with mealworms is that in general, they are grown in China and they refuse to allow inspection of premises and will not say what they feed them....[/QUOTE]Apparently, and I might be wrong, but I heard that imported dried mealwoms are fed and grown on faeces.
If that's correct I don't even want to touch them never mind feed them to my hens! The problem with mealworms is that in general, they are grown in China and they refuse to allow inspection of premises and will not say what they feed them....
There are more eggs in the incubator but I do not give them much hope...Sorry to hear that. Do you have anymore or is it on its own?
Oh no. Thats a shame. You may have to do some more. It will probably be lonely on its own. I don't have a cockeral anymore else I could have sent you some eggs. There are more eggs in the incubator but I do not give them much hope...
Its a quail so it will have hopefully some company in sort of 15 days when another batch hopefully hatches. Not sure if the small ones won't get picked at by this one (if it survives).Oh no. It could be a problem. You could keep them together in the same brooder but put a barrier between them till the little ones get bigger. At least they would be together. Until tomorrow. Half of the 24 were either unfertilized or just plain bad, the other half I had so much issue with candling I just left it to the off-chance it could work out. I'm really bummed out.It could be a problem. You could keep them together in the same brooder but put a barrier between them till the little ones get bigger. At least they would be together. Sorry to hear of your issues, I only had one egg that hatched and I ran around frantically trying to find him some `freinds` so I bought a few baby chicks from a breeder. People were kind to me with ideas such as a mirror or something to maybe make them feel less alone.Until tomorrow.
