UK Member Please Say HI

She hasnt walked around yet, but I guess I shall wait a couple more hours. Ive just googled pictures of splayed chicken legs and my chick isnt as bad is it.

Update... I put a hairband on her legs like this.. and she seems to be hobbling around now a bit, but sometimes falling backwards. Thanks for your advices. :)
Aww bless. How long will she have to stay like that for?

Im not sure chickencountryuk, I might take it off now and again to see if she is ok without it. Her sister has hatched. yayyyy... I havent taken a photo yet as she is getting used to the brooder so I will give her time to recover. I havent got a name for her yet. I dont think the other one of this batch will make it as i could see no movement when i candled it on day 17 but there was movement the day before, but it was one of Daisy Mais first eggs.

Brilliant for those two. I guess you'll just have to keep an eye on her. Ot may not be that long as there still strengthening up from hatching. Fingers crossed. Have you hatched chicken eggs or quail eggs?

The only egg I hatched before was Joffrey, but these ones now are bred from Joffrey now. I took the band off the first chicks legs and she is moving about ok at the moment, I shall monitor. Here is a pic of chick two,,, I havent named her yet.
I just candled egg 3, and the egg is full of chick with a normal air sack, I cant see movement, but I put it back in the incubator and shall leave it a few days longer now in case.

Egg 3 had a smell to it so I disposed of it. So its two survivors from the first batch of 6,which I guess considering they are her very first 6 eggs i guess maybe its not too bad.
Got second batch of 3 due to hatch next sunday.

Not bad for her batch of eggs. Sometimes it can take a while for their egg laying machines to get in full working order so as she ages her eggs should become of a better quality for hatching.

Beautiful chicks you have there :love
