Oh no. Thats not good. I'm not sure if it makes much difference but I've set my temperature at 37.5c. I know it's only .2c difference but would that make a difference? Did you candle the eggs at day 7 to see what was happening? On a plus note, if you have just set more eggs today I'll have a hatchalong with you!

I didn't candle as the eggs were quite dark and I can never tell with quail.
Yay for hatchalong! Chicken or quail or something else?

Chicken! 8 Araucana eggs. I know what you mean with quail eggs. I made a small cone with some cardboard and a small led torch. I could just about see the difference. Not very clear though.

Also in other news, we adopted a very special bearded dragon today. He has a problem with calcium deficiency and MBD so he has a very limited use of his legs.

Yeah he is. Basically his previous owner didn't have a UVB lamp, which severely hindered his ability to process calcium due to vitamin D3 deficiency. So now his legs have stiff joints, brittle bones and no strength in them. It can be reversed but it will take a year.
