Hi PouleChick,
Weather here isnt too bad, not too bad today its a little colder than where you are maybe about 12 - 14C. but the sun is happy to be here lol. You are lucky to have such lovely weather.
I have managed to post an advert on a petshop website. Pets4homes. So shall see what happens.
Hope everyone else is keeping ok
What exactly is not 'too bad.'
When I was living in Bristol and often working in Wales, 'not to bad' meant I wasn't soaked and I could just stand up against the wind.:D

Ive been trying to sell my White Polkie trio but Facebook doesnt allow sale of chickens now. Not sure where people sell chickens now ?
Is everyone getting ready for the winter ? We had a pretty bad winter last year. I got lots of mixed corn in to give them energy.
I don't have fb but my wife does and she always showing me chickens for sale. I know it was a 'group' that she had to join. Have you tried preloved? There is alot for sale on there. Are these the Polish you hatched earlier this year? If I had space I'd buy the straight away! They look so sweet!

I have joined a few groups and its not easy. I do have them on preloved now and just managed to find Pets4homes and posted them on there too.
Well one of my silkies got broody earlier on in the year so I let her hatch them to see what a Poland/Silkie would turn out like. But I did have the other Polands that I hatched earlier on too. These Polkies i think about about 6 - 7 months old now. Shame I dont have a farmstead wouldnt have to sell them then lol
Bird trader is also another good site. But better for fancy birds more than chickens.
I wil check them out. :D
Anyway here is the ad.. but its really a good home for them, i only put a price on the ad because i dont want the rooster eaten for free . https://www.preloved.co.uk/adverts/...?keyword=chicken&location=Cardiff&distance=50

Well I think the ones that are for sale were posted before Facebook changed their policies about selling livestock on their site. I can mingle a sale sort of within a conversation but If I try to sell something I get `rejected, there are issues with your product`It looks like you're trying to sell an item that doesn't meet our policies. Common items we don't allow people to sell include animals, guns or illegal product.
I have them advertised on preloved but not sure if there is another place where people can sell or buy chickens.

Ahh, I wouldn't try on the marketplace, join local selling groups and sell on there. They are normally closed groups and you have to wait for an admin to approve you.

I miss the days of the yellow paper, sitting with a cuppa and circling adverts.

I haven't been getting notifications again.

I sell mine on Preloved, which gets the job done. Although I no longer have Facebook, my Aunt posted some birds for sale on a farming group on there over the summer. Only one person bit and it was after I'd already sold the lot (around 40 or so pullets and a few cockerels) to various people through Preloved.

@Warriorgal I don't doubt that you'll see similar success, though I worry that people are less likely to buy birds going into winter. They're a nice little group.

I remember yellow pages. Has it gone?

I was thinking that maybe its not the time year to sell them too. Xmas and winter on its way I guess its more of a spring, start of summer thing maybe. :D
