We've been forecast snow of apocalyptic proportions. 10cm:eek: On high ground! So we may get a dusting!
I'm gonna have to get better prepared I think. I'll nip to co-op and buy as much bread and milk as possible and beans! I may get the ones with sausages in this time. The extra protein is good and the beans help with heating. I've gotta fill the car up, just in case I can't leave the house. Snow shovel, grit(I have half a bag left over from the big freeze of 2018), gloves, wooly hat, blankets. Extra water? Well I can melt the snow for that! Don't forget the extra chicken feed. Anything else? :lau

Yep! When we moved back to Oz it was one of the drawcards for the kids - didn't realise we bought in an area where it hardly ever snows :lau:lau

Oz & no snow, who’d have thought  I’m guessing some there would love a bit of snow right now with those super high temps I’ve seen on the news and world forecast

I wouldn't mind if we got proper snow, but what we usually get is slush, which is just cold and wet :tongue
Sounds like what we get! 2 winters ago we had -10 to -12c every morning for a week but still no snow! Last year we had about 2cm of snow that lasted about 1/2 hour until it rained! Mainly it is mild (nights / early morning between 2 and -2c I'd say is normal) and wet.
I’m concerned about the -2c tonight after we have had the snow/sleet/rain this afternoon  Under foot is going to be a nightmare tomorrow.
Eek be careful, ice is nasty!

I know my mum and sister are melting this summer!
I'm in Sheffield at the moment and we got rain. :( If this freezes it will be lethal tomorrow.
My friend is too and said it's been sleeting as well.

I'm waiting on high winds up to about 90 km/ hour - gusts have already started and my tar paper has started flapping on the coop so the glue must have given up - not sure what to do and dh has gone out. I wonder if I should find some little chocks of wood and nail them down with them to hold it at least on the corner.

It’s just rain at the moment here :( Did manage to get out on Harry horse though before it started. I’m sure the rain was following us back up the village! Literally jumped off and put him in when it started!
