UK Member Please Say HI

I'm waiting on high winds up to about 90 km/ hour - gusts have already started and my tar paper has started flapping on the coop so the glue must have given up - not sure what to do and dh has gone out. I wonder if I should find some little chocks of wood and nail them down with them to hold it at least on the corner.

I’d do whatever you need to now before it starts! Don’t be like me in the middle of the night trying to fasten things down in a gale

Sounds like what we get! 2 winters ago we had -10 to -12c every morning for a week but still no snow! Last year we had about 2cm of snow that lasted about 1/2 hour until it rained! Mainly it is mild (nights / early morning between 2 and -2c I'd say is normal) and wet.

Eek be careful, ice is nasty!

I know my mum and sister are melting this summer!

My friend is too and said it's been sleeting as well.

If you have any tacks just knock a couple in around the edge. That will hold it down.

I don't know if anyone remembers a black red splash araucana roo that I had to begrudgingly give away last year. @Sneebsey should he sexed him for me! This was him then.

He is a beauty! But I had to rehome him with a forever home. Well this is him now!

Wow he’s turned into a lovely chap! Beautiful colours!

He's turned into a handsome chap! Looks like a fine home you found him, too. Those big barnie hens are lovely.
If I kept every cockerel I liked I'd be overrun!

Don't get me started on me=food! 40+ chickens running full pelt at you across a field is a disconcerting sight.

But they love food you! Hope they don’t learn to trip you up so they can get that food faster!
