I have forwarded the info onto their leaders AKA as my son and his father! :lol:
I love the dogs dearly but they are their gun dogs so they can get it sorted. I’m just sick of living in a dog bed!
I know your pain I prefer cats the dogs are for hubby but I am the one that does the feeding and grooming he has to do all the walking.
We have two of the Mars Coat King tools 22 teeth and I think an 8 tooth basically a narrow and wide, they are well worth buying to deal with the dog fur.

@Jenni Hen

Especially for you!

Awwww aren't they lovely! And they look so content. I'll go to bed happy :)
I've no idea what a bale of hay costs these days but I was truly shocked last time I saw the price.
I try to be good at this time of year and dig out all the grass on the allotment but later I let it grow and flower - and same on the hardstanding at home - then when it looks a bit dry I pull it up and let it dry fully. I've had enough for the coops both last year and this.

Small conventional bales are anything from £3.50 to £5 each round here depending who you get them from. Harry is on large bale haylage at the minute which is £35 a bale and lasts him, the 3 sheep and China the loan pony about 3 weeks so not too bad. Hay is anything from £40 to £80 a big bale depending on size and where from again. Crazy prices compared to what they used to be :hmm and hard feed is just astronomical these days:oops:

TBH that's a bit better than I expected - it's the prices I seem to remember from a while ago so I googled it and there were some higher prices around Bradford/Halifax which is where we were. £35 for three weeks is manageable. Yes wheat has shot up but chickens don't eat as much as horses. I keep looking for where I could scatter a bit of wheat to grow in peace without getting eaten!
I love the hiding-under-the chair emoticon! It's like looking at the fuel bill, dare I?

I don’t want to look but I dare :lol: I’m quite obsessed with checking the meters! My dad used to work at For Farmers as a wagon driver so would bring me corn etc as a treat for the birds from spillage or trailer sweeping outs. After he retired I didn’t realise how much a bag of mixed corn was from BATA :eek:

I asked at BATA for scatter grain and they gave me chicken treats. It included dried banana that I wouldn't even buy for myself unless as a treat! (Insert that eye-popping emoticon!) So then I got a bag of wheat to mix with it - and the chickens preferred the wheat!:rolleyes:

Go into the Yates pet shop it's down the alleyway at the side of the shop, they sell bags of mixed corn. It's where I buy the majority of my chicken feed from.
