Ha ha my dog is as sot as a brush with my chickens and ducks in fact its other way round they bully her the chickens peck her nose if she starts sniffing them to much and my male duck

will sometimes chase her if he thinks she is to close to his ladies

Lol aww they sound lovely what breed are they , both my ducks bite my dogs lol I think ducks are abit more courageous then chickens, my drake also chases the dogs lol

They don't normally fight but my collie thinks she can get them to play but the ducks have none of it lol Wow ! You have snow I miss the snow so much hasn't snowed down here in years where do you live I bet the chickens and ducks like it lol

I have 4 Indian runner ducks 1 which us male 1 khaki cambell 5 chickens 1 Columbian black tail, black rock, daisy bell, light Sussex, speckledy/laced whydott ( sorry spelt wrong ) when I first got them I let dog sniff each of them and then very firmly tell her to leave she knows not to disobey the chickens pecknher if she sniffs them to much and my male duck

Can I just ask if 1 bird catches this flu does that mean we have to kill them all or is it just those that show signs of it


I'm afraid every bird in the flock would have to be culled. Even if they were not showing symptoms they would more than likely be incubating the flu after being in contact with an infected bird.

If a bird in your flock, is tested positive for having Avian Influenza, then your whole flock will be killed.... It's highly contagious so if one bird has than all the others will aswell. :(
