:hugs Sorry for your loss :(

That's why I don't hatch Quail.... My Dad used to hatch them when he was growing up- he opened the incubator to find a pool of blood and a load of dead quail chicks.
Yeah I've had to cull them as the injuries were to severe. It's been a very hard day it was all my quail :( that's one bird I will never get again!

:lau:celebrate:celebrate:ya
My ducks are loving it!! The chickens on the other hand are miserable :lau

lol yes my ducks seem to be thoroughly happy in however I did laugh when it became torrential and really windy as they all ran off in the coop either that or it was the hydrangea flower head that came rolling towards them lol :celebrate

I think it's just very hard to hatch females I've been lucky with ducks and chickens as they are female. It was awful I'm still upset about it today just looking at their empty pen :(

Haha oh I can imagine that! They are so entertaining to watch. I don't think mine have come out of their pool that I got them today. The wind is chucking them everywhere :lau

Does anyone know how to tell if an egg is fertilized by looking at it?
I've read that the blastoderm looks different...

@rebrascora

Hope you are doing ok and are not too worn out! Have you got your list down yet? Cora and the other beasties doing ok? Harry's big day tomorrow with the vet and I'm hoping for good news :fl He seems to be walking ok and I can't see any lameness as such, maybe just a tad of stiffness? That maybe down to the fact he hasn't had a good leg stretch though which is to be expected. It still gets a bit puffy when the bandages/boots are off though which is bothering me :( But we shall see. With the horrid weather I'm glad he's in and has been in on a night. Hope this helps you though with Cora and that things have softened up enough for her.

You know the saying it never rains but it pours? Well it's pouring here right now! I took on some extra deliveries for the money as I know if Harry has his leg scanned the vet bill is going to be bigger but I whacked into a hidden post in some bushes as I was delivering :hit Van needs a new side door and the sill pulling out. I'm so peeved off with myself for doing it and should have been paying more attention as I pulled in the estate. But was watching a parked car in front of me to make sure I didn't hit that.

Do you know a good scrap dealer? I know you have trawled a few! I'm going to have to get a second hand one as no way can I afford a brand new one. It just seems its one thing after another right now that I could without.
Any how's enough of my whining about things, hope your having a good week.

Kim xx
