UK Member Please Say HI

Tell you the truth I just leave them to get on with it.
Then if after 3, 4 or 5 chicks have hatched and there is a break in the other eggs hatching I will take the hatched chicks into the brooder and leave the eggs to all start again.

Although sometimes I've come down in the morning and had about 20 chicks waiting for me.

So as frustrating as it is, if you leave them to get on with it, they probably will ;)

Oh no isn't that just typical.

It's definitely been a cockerel year for me !!

My Wyndotte bantam chicks , I have 4 cockerels & 1 Pullet!!!

And my Marans are looking like about 10 cockerels and 5 Pullets :he

In case anyone wants to know...
3-week old chicks and 1 day old chicks get on happily together. :ya

The little babies go hide under the brooder if they need to escape...

The 3-week olds look like gangly teenagers who are not the least bit interested in playing with their younger brothers & sisters.
:celebrate
