Bless it!Speaking of funny videos, I don't know if any of you have seen this but I found it hilarious
Any change in your flock? Just wondering how they are doing? Thanks! I'm hoping to see nothing! I'm hoping that it is just a bit of phase but I've never had them like this. Especially snowy not wanting cuddles! She's my little Teddy hen and will quite happily sit on my knee all afternoon and snooze! I don't trust one of my neighbours though, some cats got poisoned with antifreeze and fingers were pointed. He was also the one that kicked my pigeon that landed in his drive. Am I just paranoid?
They seemed fine yesterday. I was with them for the best part. Now the clocks have gone back its dark in the morning when I go to work and dark when I return so all I can do is check them in the coop. The cam I ordered from amazon should have been here yesterday because I have prime. It never showed up and got rescheduled for tomorrow. I'm not a happy bunny but there's not much I can do about it. How are yours? Did you have the frost this morning? My car was frozen solid!Any change in your flock? Just wondering how they are doing?
I must be lucky. I just take their eggs away at roost time, put them in their coop on the roost and most of the time that's all that needs doing.Aww bless! You meany! You know chickens just can't control their urges! I'm quite surprised I haven't had a Brahma in the broody breaker for a couple weeks, I think I'm overdue!![]()
Brahmas can be pretty persistent! One is molting at the moment and has a bald bum and no tail! She looks so sorry for herself! I'm not getting many eggs either. I was home late tonight and there was a couple of eggs still in the nest box the hens stayed away from them which is good.I must be lucky. I just take their eggs away at roost time, put them in their coop on the roost and most of the time that's all that needs doing.
It could be worthwhile putting a feeder out with some growers pellets in. It's a bit more protein to help with the moult. It is tough on them. Two of my rescues are not looking great. I'm hoping they make it through.I've got two laying...well I did have until I evicted Fudge.
Lots of others are moulting and being extremely pissy.
I've got one lovely hen called Gedit who has never layed an egg in her life, she's 6 years old now who isn't eating properly and moulting who I'm a bit worried about. She's eating lots of bugs and plants. I don't know if that's enough for her. She's quite a big girl.
