You're a bit of a silkie addict! There was 6 this time! I've got another 9 under a hen and 10 in my incubator.
Thankyou, I'm not sure yet but it is a nice looking chick! I'll keep it as a growout and see how it grows![]()

I got another pair of Archangel pigeons today. They're quite young and don't have NPA bands. But they will hopefully be a good breeding pair.

They are currently under quarantine in my garage. I am so in love with these birds!
Are you sure it's Redmire? That picture looks like a tick. I've had an ongoing redmite problem for the past two years. I used you total mite and it was OK. It just wasn't as residual as I'd have hoped. I also use ivermectin drops on them. I finally managed to about get rid of them using allmite powder. It's essentially DE so please don't tell the mite specialists, I'll get boo hooed! It did work for me.So guys, look who popped in for a sleep over in my broody pen...

With the weather being wet and humid at the moment, they're loving it. I've caught them early and started treating the hutch.
The chicks just hatched so they've been removed out of harms way. My hen will have to remain there for a week or so during ongoing treatment. I can't risk her bringing them into my main coop.
My mite eradicating goodies...

Have any of you used anything else or would you recommend anything extra?
I've dealt with a case of lice quite a while back in our free range flock but never red mites.
