Glad you had a nice time. The pictures look great! The only time I've been to Scotland it rained all week :( and keep your eyes on the road, too many accidents from people chicken spotting!

I've hot a couple of days off work and the weather has been fantastic! Managed to get some jobs done. And the fantails now have the trap on the front of the loft so I can start to trap train them. It is quite funny watching them try to figure out how to go through the bobwires! Chickens are enjoying a hot mash at the moment and the pidgies are flying!

Ah the rain is the worst, at least we were dry walking around and not soaked. Haha it woulsnt surprise me that accidents from spotting chickens has probably happened before :gig that'd be a one to tell the insurance...

The weather here today has also been clear and sunny, not too cold either!

Perfect weather for your pigeons out flying!

Finally managed to get some pictures of the two dumped chickens that ended up at the stables. Meet poppy
and percy!

Thankyou, they know how to style those neckerchiefs!
How on earth do you manage to keep them so clean? My white hens look like they've been dragged through a Bush in comparison! Do they have days when they've been rolling around in the mud? How do your silkies have so much poof on the head? The cockeral from the stables doesn't have half as much! Sorry about the questions but I've never seen silkies looking as good as yours!

Well...let's just say these photos were taken about 30 mins before the Christmas ones!

That being said, all my other white silkies are 'clean' and nowhere near as dirty as what Flump was. Flump's crest was so grotty because she decided to mash her head into the muddy floor on clean out day!

Flump's crest is larger than it should be for showing going by the book but many judges seem to still fall for her :gig

The shorter less poofy crest is common in British male silkies but it generally just comes down to what they were bred from :)

Here's my boys crest:

They're a real credit to you. Have my kids been giving you suggestions for names? Flump is the best name ever!

Aw thankyou!

Haha maybe they have  trust me my birds have some odd names! I think my strangest two are Porridge and Oogy...

I may not be the most experienced one out there with years of keeping chickens under my belt but I do my best with my birds and I think that's all people ask and hope for :)
