I candled the goose eggs last night and it was disappointing

Of the 9 only one looks to have a developing embryo. 4 look totally clear and 4 look like quitters.

Very disappointed and god only knows what I’m going to do if a lone gosling hatches

That's a shame. Are you going to keep the ones that look like quitters going?

I've just put mine on lockdown. I think three might be quitters. They are a little lighter at the bottom. Well see what happens. Five look good though. Got the brooder out cleaned and disinfected it and......I now have TWO broody hens! My Araucana and the other brahma! Both in the same nest box! Why can't I get a broody when I want one the two come along when I don't!

Day 21 and the first peepers is here! It just hatched! I'm a little worried though as there was some albumen and dried blood on the inside of the Shell.

The shell looks quite normal and ok to me

Thanks! I was worried but she seems to be doing fine today. She has a curled toe so I'll have to sort that when she goes in the brooder. BTW its a hopefull 'she'!

Not great pictures. The incubator isn't all that clear.

One that started to pip yesterday morning hasn't really made much progress. There is a fair size hole in the top of the egg. I'm wondering whether to help a little?
