um... do submissive cockerels SQUAT for humans??

I hatched 2 peking chicks last year and i was convinced one was male and one was female, i gave the male away and was left with what i thought was a female, as when i picked 'her' up she'd squat!!
Turns out 'she' is actually a he, so you can't tell. Go with your instincts, if everything else is bigger on this chick, it's probably a cock

Hmm... I've never heard of this before, although I believe my Japanese Bantam too, Titan, is very submissive to both me and his four "scary" bantam hens ;) Titan doesn't squat, but he does go belly up in my arms when I hold him. He even falls asleep like that!

Did it turn out to be a rooster?

I have a 12 week old Easter Egger rooster who does that, he squats, butt in the air and spread wings until someone pets him, then he does the feather shaking thing too. He is definitely a male (I posted pics of him here recently).

That's why I'm asking because I've personally never seen a male squat like that, no matter the age... this chick really lifts up the bum and everything, I was actually shocked and have been repeating the moves a few times to be sure it wasn't just a fluke (it isn't).

Everything else about him (her??) screams roo, so I really don't know what's going on :-(
I was convinced my polish bantam was a roo..because of the behavior it exhibited..recently (they) started squawking like a cucaburro and I was thinking it was a matter of time before he (they) started crowing..but now my lil guy is doing the submission squat..so I came on here wondering if a roo would do it as well..I guess ill have to wait for an egg or a doodle-doo :)

Post a photo of it and I'll tell you if it's a cockerel or pullet. How old is it?
