Unacceptable Guest Dog

Pics
I really dont know how to put my foot down more other than to put their dog on a leash myself. Ive asked nicely. Ive even gotten snippy about it. My fiancee has too. We've joked about locking the doors and shutting off the lights to pretend we're not home. But the problem is, she has a key. And she lets herself in. Scared me once because she came over while I was in the shower. Heard the door open and I ran out with the shower still running. I had enough sense to grab a towel thankfully. She said "oh I was just coming by to grab the circular saw he borrowed. I didn't think anyone was home".
Next time DON’T grab the towel. Maybe a little embarrassment would keep them out. Your space, you can lounge around naked all day if you desire.(well maybe keep the blinds closed)

She showed up unannounced at her sisters once and was all offended that they didnt open the door. She knew they were home. She said "I cant imagine why anyone would not want company". That's the mindset I'm dealing with. She has an open door policy and I dont. I've even made a point of letting her know I'm coming by hoping that she would catch on to it. Ive tried being subtle and firm. She's just stubborn. I'm probably gonna have to get mean about it...but I'll wait until after the wedding...

I would be asking for my key back!
This is the exact reason NONE of our family have a key to OUR house!

I dislike - in general - people suggesting and commending ideas of violence. Anyone should stop a person injuring/killing/threatening a living thing. Mentioning firearms seems unneeded if everyone there has one, and gives off a feeling that you want the justification of using one, especially in momentary anger. I commend all trained police and drilled drill instructiors who compel attention and command comprehension without any weapon.
A gun is a tool of last resort, implying that you have other tools to choose from. You best tool is between your ears.

No one specific, just advise to find another way than first thought, grab a gun and kill it.
It seems to me the OP has already exhausted that avenue. If you can reason it is always the best option but when people dont listen within reason sometimes they learn a hard lesson. If it were any other beast it would not matter to most. But keep in mind their closest ancestor is a wolf which was largely eradicated into almost extinction by farmers protecting their livestock. Some breeders actually advertise dogs as being part wolf. Just playing devil's advocate here

The whole reason for the key was for emergencies. My sister has a key as well but she doesnt just let herself in. Taking the key away would just make her mad and she wouldnt learn anything

Take the key back. It isn't your job to teach an older woman anything ( if we can be even taught haha.. )

Tell her it is rude, it isn't her house, it's YOURS and your rules apply. If she can't be respectful she cannot have the key. Use your sister as an example.

I am sorry you have to deal with this. I would never., but I am also happy in my solitude and have little tolerance.

If you both stop letting her in, maybe she will finally quit her nonsense. She ought to know better.
