There are so many unanswered posts. Many of them are real chicken concerns. Wouldn't it be nice if each of us who are logged in would choose one unanswered post to repond to?

Many new folks come here looking for answers. Many old folks come here to play games and socialize. The old folks are the ones who can answer many questions, and I think it should be part of our responsibility to keep this a "welcome" and growing forum.

It would be nce if the BST posts would be separate from the other posts--that way it would be easier to see the non-sale- posts.

I go trough these posts quite regularly. And help when I can.

I'm new, but I try to answer as much as I can with what experience I have under my belt.

I hope to continue sharing what I have when someone new to the forum needs help.

You do make a good point tho...

I have responded to a few, despite the fact I don't know what I'm talkin' about!

Since my own major questions have slowed down and I have a bit more experience under my belt with chicks and coop construction, as well as other animals, I have recently started clicking the "Show Unanswered Posts" at the bottom left corner of my screen. I scroll through, click on any I might be able to help with and offer support at least. Usually if I see something serious that hasn't been dealt with in hours I try & post a support thought or something and that usually bumps it up to where the pros can see it.

I think, the pros are on in the evenings and the weekends for a bit mostly... gee.. it might be that BYCers have day jobs? or maybe farm chores

Great idea and good idea to mention it so it's on others minds too..

I agree about helping out and answering when you can. I try to. I think that a lot of "oldtimers" around here dont answer because they wish that the folks posting would use the search function first before asking their question. IMHO...
