under $120 coop possible?

One thing I thought about was the crates motorcycles and watercraft come in. Might check with a local dealer and see what they do with them. Might make a good small coop.

yes please :)

Its dementions are 8ft x 3ft. It will hold 4-5 large chickens or 6 bantams at most. I have 4 bantams in there currently and its perfect. However I also addded a 5ft x 10ft run on. But yea, its a GREAT coop. Its easy to clean, portable, and keeps my much loved birds safe. here are some more pics.

with the run attached..

the inside hen house...sorry its blurry :)

If there is a Habitat for Humanity Restore near you, check that out. They have all kinds of doors and windows that are pretty cheap. I got a good door with windows in it AND a doggy door just the right size for chickens for free!!! The one near me usually has a stack of free stuff. I just happened to go there the day they had a bunch of free doors. I then built one wall of the shed I converted to fit the door.

First question: Where are you? You may not even need a coop. Here in Central Texas I've found a simple shelter is sufficient.

Cost = the price of two hinges and a can of paint. The rest is just lumber from pallets and found alongside the road so, total cost >$15.00.

Thanks everyone! I have finished my plans with the help from you guys... Now the only question I have is is there a type of wood (like cedar or maple) that I shouldnt/should use? I have found many types of cheap wood in my area, thanks!
