Underground RR Quilt Block

Pics
I like the different color variations some are doing to the BH quilt, some I've raised an eyebrow over and some I have drooled over. lol

On the QB, I was fascinated by the idea from the first time I saw it on QB. It costs a little more in postage, but the design element was to tempting, and that the blocks you get back are coordinated by fabric at least.
I have done the BOOM twice. From one I made a floor quilt for my grandson and from another I am using some in a patriotic quilt and some in a reproduction quilt. I found it challenging to get all my blocks back.

I went back and looked at the old boom threads before signing up and it looked like a few had issues, but not as many in the more recent ones. It looked like they changed format. The first ones were sent to each individual, and the later ones all to a hostess. Most of the participants seem to be veteran "boomers" who have honored the swaps in the past, so fingers are crossed it will work out. This is the 14th boom w/ many returning so they seem to be happy w/ it, we'll see.

That is good. I did not realize they changed it and might have signed up if I had realized. If it works it is a lot of fun. I liked being able to set the theme and pick a key fabric that goes in it.

Well here it is this will be the "binding" fabric hopefully tying the whole quilt together.

I really wanted a butterfly fabric that wasn't fru fru or cutesy. Something "old" and woodsy and the linear print is icing on the cake.
