Okay, I have 2 Silkie brothers that are currently 23 weeks old. I've watched them doing their little mating dance to my ladies and I've also seen them mounting my ladies, however, the ladies they pick to mate are my big dual purpose girls and they don't seem able to reach!!
They hold onto the feathers at the back of the girl's neck but while they're holding on, the business ends are nowhere near each other!! I'm guessing this will not improve as I think they are pretty much full size now. Do I just have to accept that I won't be getting any fertilised eggs anytime soon? Or will they learn how to overcome the size difference? (Roteiller and chihuahua spring to mind!)
