Unending screaming from chick, Tried everything but no success

How is little Arrow?
Arrow unfortunately passed away suddenly today, they were fine this morning but I checked on the brooder when I was coming in to clean and I found her sprawled out. Passed in my hands, poor bud. I’ve heard that screamers tend to usually have something up, I hoped Arrow would beat it, but they fought well. Rest well little buddy

The rest of the flock is alright thankfully, unfortunately they’re struggling a bit with sneezing and orange discharge from what we believe to be Bordetellosis, but we’re doing our best to make sure they’re all comfortable. They’re all lively and doing well which is good! Keeping an eye on them, and disinfecting their environment as much as possible when we can.

Sorry the little one didn't make it. My guess would be this was a failure to thrive situation. I also had a screamer with a big, hard crop. We tried so many things to move food through it, but she just wasn't built quite right. She also had strange stringy poops (they looked like sausages in casing). She worked very hard, but couldn't get everything working in time to thrive.

Which is to say that I don't think you giving them grit was a factor. Sometimes they just aren't built to hang out with us very long.

I'm sorry she didn't make it. I hope the rest of your flock recover quickly. Keep us updated please.

I'm sorry to hear she didn't make it.

Do you have Turkey Poults in the brooder with your chicken chicks?

Describe the symptoms you see. Sneezing and orange discharge? Where's the discharge coming from -nostrils? Any other symptoms?
Photos of the discharge would be good.

You mention Bordetellosis, this is usually seen in Turkeys, not chickens.

Nevermind, I see you made another thread in the ER section, I'll take a look at that.

Apologies for not seeing this sooner! All of those symptoms were showing up in Winnie, who is a Turkey poult that is housed with the chicken chicks. All chicken chicks are only showing sneezing though, no discharge
