Unhappy chicken

As far as I can tell, she may be eggbound. First I'd like to ask: what is the weather like where you are at the moment? Next thing: if she is indeed eggbound I would suggest taking a bucket of warm water (5 inches will do) and gently place her in the bucket. This will help the [possible] egg pass her ovary system. But if she's not eggbound... I'd suggest temporarily separating her from the flock so they cannot pick on her/bother her. Are her eyes staying fully open? Is she walking at all and if so, normal? Is she eating or drinking? Make sure she eats and drinks: this is a need and it will help you narrow the selection of issues. You may lift up her tail feathers and see if there is any signs of blockage of her vent. Worst comes to worst if an egg broke in her... There are other ways to help, but you might not want to come to that point until you know further more. Good luck and God bless, hope this info may help you and your hen. She's very pretty by the way, Delaware's are strong.

I’m going to try to soak her it’s a little cold today upper 40s but I will separate her and make it a little warmer if she is wet..thanks

Tried the warm bucket of water and massaged her fluffy butt.. she didn’t hate that at all but when she was done she was done..she flew out of the bucket and joined her friends pecking at some food and she drank some water but she is still moving a little slower then the others.. so no she is just chilling in a little sunshine.. thanks to all .. I’ll keep you posted .. no egg but she sure was dirty..

If she is molting or just finished she may show signs of being sick, but some hens just pout when molting. Some look pretty sick, but just don’t feel well because of the molt and nothing is actually wrong. I’ve had hens staggering around, in the penguin stance (sign of egg binding), or just lethargic. She could just be molting and not feeling real energetic.
