Unknown bump on 4 week old chick

Can anyone tell me what they think this might be??

To me, it looks like an injury or wound from being pecked by others. I'd separate the chick from the others in a comfortable, safe area with the correct temperature for chicks that age, put a thin layer of triple antiobiotic ointment on the area, and use vitamin-probiotic soluble powder in the waterer for a few days. Make sure the bird is eating, drinking, and active.

Welcome to BYC. Can you check your feeder and waterer to make sure there are no sharp edges? Metal ones such as the ones below are notorious for being sharp, and one person on BYC had a chick cut it's neck and bleed to death using one.

Geez. I've never heard of that. Are they making some in China now?

I would recommend putting some kind of antibiotic powder (such as a Tetracycline medicine) or ointment on the wound, too.
