Unkown Breed? Why so small?

We have two call ducks... A mallard and an unknown breed.

The mallard's a male and the unknown is female.

They're about the same age... around 7-+ months.

Why is she so small?? She's about half the size he is... Is it just the breed/age/gender? We used to have two crested ducks (lost to predators)..one male and one female.. they were the same size... and both were about twice as big as the mallard..

She's a call duck. He's an actual mallard it looks like. Two different breeds.

I'd say he's more or less a bantam Mallard and she's a Blue Bibbed Call (but with an interesting bib that goes round the back of her neck).

They are both very pretty!

She is so small because SHE is a call duck. Mallards are not call ducks. They are small, but about twice as big as a call.
