Meringue could smell another dog coming but didn't move.
Sway saw Meringue and, questioningly, continued walking toward her, but more slowly. Sway wasn't posed for battle, she just looked genuinely curious,
Storm nodded. "Well, in that case, we had better stand down." Storm said.
Sway looked at him and got low to the ground. She crawled over and followed him.
Meringue didn't notice.
Zorro shook his head. "That shows weakness."
Storm looked straight at Zorro. "Not if we are severely outnumbered. Backing down and appearing cowardly is better than attempting to fight and removing all doubt."
Meringue motioned to Zorro and Storm.
Zorro turned and faced Storm.
Zeke crouched, ready to attack.

Storm turned and walked away, hoping Zorro would follow.
