... Am I happy? Well yes, but that's not the point!
We have had chickens for just over 5 years now. I love my flocks (yes I have two, and a bachelor pad). Last year I decided after loosing two of my one year olds I didn't want to get any more chicks untill I could revamp and remodel my coops and runs. It was rough last spring, but we made it with out new additions. I was feeling good, planning to do a nice barn like structure that would be sectioned off with separate coops and conjoined runs so I could let out one flock at a time, or keep them safe locked up for more than a day...
And then this happened...
someone came home from work with a box of these cuties. I guess since I'm stuck in social distancing I have some time to quickly begin building a fourth little coop, until they are big enough to join one of the established flocks... But it wasn't planned...
