Turkens . I guess they're easier to process and some say they are resistant to Mareks? If the Bird Box film actually showed what the suicide-inducing monsters looked like, I'm guessing it would be a flock of Turkens.

It’s no fun nursing sick chickens. So if single copy Naked Neck (Nana) chickens have better immune systems to resist Marek’s disease, then that’s what I’m breeding into my colored egg layers.

I’ve got single copy Naked Neck chickens “Nana” at the moment. Do you know of a good source of Fayoumis?

The research making me think Nana’s immune systems are stronger (and frizzles).

Well some of them have crazy angry personalities (my broody game hen killed a rat). I don’t know what genetically makes them more disease resistant.

PHEW wow that was a lot. this has become more of a recap of the thread and i’ll add to it with new ones when i have the time. if you can try to avoid repeats and such with this post that’s be awesome, be kind to papaya for christ’s sake, and for brevity please keep your orphington bashing short and sweet (joke). thanks for being respectful! if i missed anyone let me know!
