How long has it been since you had a long john from a Casey's store?
The last time I had one it was not the same. They have changed the filling and it is not good.

There's nothing wrong with using a prefab for little chicks, broodies, just until you get your real coop built, or whatever.
What really gets to me is the people that have 10 adult chickens stuffed in one of those teeny tiny ensembles, who say "but the sign said it's for 8 to 12 chickens". Really? you can't see with your own two eyes that it's no where near enough room, you're just going to go by what the sign said? LOL

No, I use mine for a trio. There's room for them and they don't seem to be bothered by the space

Okay I agree with not feeding the wildlife to a point..
But not where it applies to woodpeckers and songbirds who have already come to depend on it due to habitat loss.
