Yeah... I rarely go on long trips anymore. I always come back to starved animals no matter who I get to feed them. Too lazy I guess.

If you can pay, there's a company called Fetch! Pet Care that may be available to you. We had them to look after our cats when we went to visit family a couple years back. This was including medicating, cleaning litterboxes, feeding and watering. It was pricey, but well worth it for a few days away. They came out twice a day and I'd get a text and notification that they'd been, along with a photo. It's a franchise, so it may or may not be available where you're at.

I know how you feel. I thought about builindg a chicken coop trailer to tow behind the truck so I could take them with me on a long trip. I don't have a lot of birds at this point.

Excellent idea, when you check into a campground they ask, “do you have a dog?”

I have never heard them ask if you have a chicken!!
