Unsure What This Is

Right now I am currently treating a red that has wry neck. During treating, she constantly spacing the feathers out between her back feathers, and tail feathers. I noticed this... does anyone know what this is?

Thank you, are there more on that body then just that one? She currently had wry neck, which I am treating. She continues to deprecate her feathers & is exposing that part... do you have any idea why?

As far as I know, they only have the one.

Has she been preening more than usual? The only reason I can think of for her exposing it is by constant preening. What treatment is she on? May be the medication is causing her feathers to be dry and/or unhealthy and she is overcompensating on the preening.

Or, if it is in the early stages of infection or something similar, it might be irritating her.
