So 4 weeks ago i ordered 6+ eggs from a breeder 10 showed up right off the bat some were broke some had soap sud air bubbles on day 10 we could see some weren't fertile only one developed and hatched under a very experienced broody but it had messed up beak and didn't absorb its yolk, this hen who sat same day on three of her sisters eggs well 100% failure on shipping eggs
where the three from the farm are all chirping in the brooder right now. the breeder said she would send a few replacements which i thought was very graces of her. I was expecting maybe 4 to 6 eggs if i was very lucky. Eggs arrived today wrapped and package way better much more bubble wrap OHHHH and a full bakers dozen of eggs!
of 13 two were broke and one has a loose air bubble soo 11 of them them are waiting to go in the incubator in the morning. I just couldn't believe they sent me 13 eggs! and them being black copper Marans! a dozen of this breeders eggs normally goes for over a $100 + shipping. i thought that was very very nice of them to do!
just now i have to wait and see what happens!
