*UPDATE* Advice Needed! Eggbound/ Prolapsed Hen???

ok.. so I had an eggbound hen last night and did all that was suggested and eventually had to remove the egg myself. what would be suggested for after care. she doesn't seem to be coming around very quickly. she still seems really sluggish and lethargic. i'm honestly worried about her. could there be a second egg or could she have been in so much distress that it will take a day or so to recover?

Is she properly hydrated? Did you give calcium?

She won't drink on her own so I've been trying to force it every hour or so just a little at a time. What kind of calcium should I get?

Can you feel the egg? Once she is properly hydrated you can give her a human calcium pill (500mg) if she's a full sized hen, 1/2 a pill for a banty.

How many days has she been like this?
