Update: Duckling pictures Edit: All dead :(. Help! My ducklings are all dying!

First Time Duckling raiser here, we got 6 this morning and only two are left and they don't look good. What are We doing wrong; in A Brand new big Plastic tub, new waterer, feeder and Lamp. Put 2 Cups sugar In gallon of water and turned everything on Last night. They have the flock feeder Reced. Had sawdust Down But Took It Out And Replaced With Shelf Liner After We Lost The First 4. Added Marbles To The Water. My Last Few Look Half Dead They Are HavivNg A Hard Time Moving, Stiff. One Just Flipped On His Back And Couldnt Get Back Over. This Is Awful, HelpZ!

I have never heard of putting sugar in water. My ducklings get medicated chick feed. Vitamins Poly-Vi-Sol (infant vitamins) in their water. I have seen ducklings die before for lack of calcium and vitamins. This lady's ducklings couldn't stand up and appeared to malnourished. I would suggest getting vitamins and chick food. Also, I would suggest you wet the food till it is a mash.

Good luck. I hope you can safe the ducklings. I saved one of the other lady's duckling with this approach.

I've never heard of the sugar thing either, and I'm no expert but I'm gonna venture a guess that's what did it? That sounds like an awful lot of sugar too, and I bet their little blood sugars just skyrocketed. Someone will surely correct me if I'm wrong. I'm so sorry, how sad.

This is so bad, I don't even know if they'll make it long enough for me to get them new feed, but I'll give it a go. Will drain the sugar water just in case.

PI just don't get it, they arrived seemingly fine, we followed the instructions to a T, what did we do

Huh. Well? Color me corrected. Hmmmmm. I really have no idea. Were they shipped? Can they get away from heat? Trying to think.. ? How miserable to have to see!

They were shipped but seemed chipper this morning. It's a big tub so yes, they can get completely away from the heat. So glad we were keeping them hidden as a surprise for the kids, I'd hate for them to see this . Breaking my heart.

Dang Did you get new food? Take away what they did have? Maybe at least do that in case that's the cause? Ugh, I'm sick for you.

Is it tap water? Maybe there's something in it that they can't handle? I know I'm grasping here..
