Our girls turned 9 weeks old today. We are still so in love with this lifestyle and have now added 2 pygmy goats. LOL we won't be taking a vacation ever again. :sigh:

The girls have been in their coop for 3 weeks and are so great. They free range all day and go to bed in their coop by themselves. Chickens really are so amazing.

We have 8 beautiful girls.
Rhode Island Red is my 3 year old daughter's. Her name is Quack Quack.

Buff Orpington is named Waffles.

Silver Laced Wyandotte is my 8 year old daughter's bird and her name is Dottie.

White Plymouth Rock belongs to my 9 year old and her name is Sugar Dumpling.

Red Sex Link belongs to my 11 year old. Her name is Princess Emily.

We have two Easter Eggers. Half gold is Sweetie Pie. One with less gold and bigger cheek puffs is Bernadette.

We have one very dark bird. We think she's a Barnevelder. Her head is black and she's got really pretty gold lacing coming in on her body. Her name is Cupcake.

Great little flock! Just be sure to keep chicken feed inaccessible to your goats (remember goats are crafty, stubborn creatures)....they are drawn to gorge on it and it can have deadly consequences

Yes, we discovered this early on. LOL we've had to adjust the coop and keep the chicken feed in there. Thank goodness our feathered girls seem to prefer our yard for food.
