*Update*Help somthing atacked Big P(NEW Pics pg9)

I can't remember where I read it or what it said (duh!!!) but it was about using super glue for wounds on chickens. Don't know if it would of worked in this instance. I am still looking for the article and will post if and when I find it.

if you could get her some baby food..some sort of cereal like oatmeal..make with water if it's the dry cereal.

anything she eats should be soft.

check all the medicine cabinets for any antibiotics or other meds, including vitamins..make sure you write down the mg. of the meds and write them down and post it here.
especially look for anything that has cipro, or mycin ..

I'm sorry you didn't have more help or support there..
you did the best you could..
kudos.

Thanks guys. Shes doing much better than yesterday. She layed 2 eggs this morning. Shes making noise and yelling at me to let he out of the dog carryer,,lol. I do have 2 question though: When do you think her crop will be healed because I had to leave her skin open because the string is not dissolving string so i cant close the wound??

Do you mean that you are not closing up the outside skin because you are waiting to remove the sutures from the crop? Won't the outside skin start to heal open and be hard to close? Can anyone advise on this? That worries me.....

SeaChick, Thats exactly what i mean

Jeffrey,
You are supposed to stitch up a wound within hours of it happening because the skin will harden. Leave it the way it is but make sure you keep it very moist with neosporin. I wouldn't wrap it, either.
I'm glad to hear she's hanging in there! Keep us updated.
