Yeah. I did some drinking... and some chocolate eating... I'm right there with you. I started drinking on day 7, I think. I am on day 21 (end of the day). I have 7 chicks out and 8 eggs that haven't even pipped. They were ALL alive at lock down. Not sure what is going on...

I'll tell you what helps...

Watch Napoleon Dynamite!! "Do chickens have large talons?", "Six dollars. That's like a dollar an hour!!"

It's helping!! The only thing that would make it better is a drink!

I think you should up your humidity...sounds like they are too dry maybe. My humidity goes up to 70-80 when hatching. 59% seems way to low during lockdown. Is that what you said it was at? Or am I seeing thing again LOL I do that!

i totally feel your pain im on day 8 im a nervous wreck checking on them all the time just praying these eggs will hatch so im not a failure. but yesterday i candled them and saw a few heartbeats so super excited .congrats on the chicks big hugs from a neighbor in PA

fowlmama- I never saw a heatbeat but the 1st tme I saw that big eye floating in the embryo I was so surprised I almost dropped the egg!

#13 of 15 just hatched an hour ago and the last 2 are not showing pip's. Yet!

10 in the brooder.

#12 was drama. His toe was sticking out of the half zipped egg for 5 hours. I couldn't take it any longer. I chipped apart shell & membrane, a tiny bit at a time. He had turned around in the egg and his head was now in the small part of the egg and was making no progress. No blood or distress, so I freed him. He had already pooped in the egg and was more than ready to be out.

I just LOVE Forrest!!! His vaulted skull is HUGE

We'll have to hook him up with a cutie...somebody shy. What was the name of the girl Forrest was in love with? I can't believe I forgot. Kenzie made me watch that movie twice, back to back, the last time I saw it, and he had to say her name a million times. You HAVE to use that name now.

I don't really know what happened to my eggs. She said she mailed them last Monday, but I went to the PO on Tuesday and asked them to hold them when they came. They never came.

I e-mailed about them and she said they were delivered, but they never came to my PO. I called every day, right up until yesterday, and that was a week.

Anyway, she said the PO had no record of her scanning on Monday and she wasn't going to be able to cash in on the insurance, but she would send me another batch out of her own pocket.

Sooooo...I'm hoping they were sent yesterday. If so, this time our hatches should be neck in neck.

Did you get your new eggs today?
