This is my hen. The appearance is all rooster, though. I'm sorry, but Polish boys don't tend to cause as much trouble, our so I've seen, in large flock. Just watch out for him, as his vision may be blocked if he needed to defend himself in a fight, which is bound to happen sometime soon. If he was THAT much trouble, he would have started showing it already.

How can Polish chickens see with all those feathers? Is it a problem ever? Do you have to trim around their eyes?

You don't have to trim around the eyes unless you can see them suffering to get around. Otherwise, I THINK the other senses are somewhat stronger because my girl is brilliant. She responds to her name and keeps in good contact with the flock members, even on the other side of the property. Almost two years old and still around...

Im pretty sure yours is a rooster. He looks exactly like mine who is for sure a rooster because he started crowing at 12 weeks.
They are so pretty. I love him.

there aint NOTHING like a nice sized Polish golden, golden laced or silver roo. They are aggressive, big and darn pretty.
