update:: my mini coop (comments/suggestions wanted)

Thank you!! I do worry a bit about the temp - but most of the ventiliation is up high and I will probably try to rig up a dropped ceiling type area around the roost to give the two birds a spot to huddle together and generate/hold warmth - maybe that silver bubblewrap folded like a mini roof just over the area of the roost. Once I get it roofed and the birds moved in, I'll see what I can do about the cold. My other coop is uninsulated and my 4 older birds did okay last winter with a bubblewrap set-up around their roost.

hey desert dweller! I'm in Tempe and our chickens are about 2 months old. Have a wire house ( about 8'x 12') with a metal roof and various boxes, etc inside. Are planning to construct more shelter today. What is your experience with winters in the valley? We are thinking of incorporating lighting for heat. Do we need to?
