UPDATE: New pics pg2 - what am I???

I've taken to calling this one "Slowpoke" aka "Pokey" - at 8 weeks old, not even a peep of a tail feather yet. Is this typical of cockerels or could it be genetic issues? It seems to have VERY poor eyesight, as does its more classically (but still poorly) colored Columbian Wyandotte sister. Neither is very active or friendly; on the contrary they're both quite skittish, though I've started to blame that on their eyesight more than personality (though neither seems to have much of that, either).

A pretty ordinary stance:

Very, very flat (I'd call it nonexistent) "comb":

Huddled up keeping warm:

NO feathers going on back here:

Edited for comparison - the other Columbian Wyandotte I got in my shipment. Same age, same hatchery, etc:

EE? REALLY??? It's supposed to be a Columbian Wyandotte pullet... from the Meyer hatchery. Well then.

That's a pretty typical Wyandotte comb, and the leg color is also appropriate for a Wyandotte. It doesn't seem to have any characteristics which would point to it being an EE.

I just added a picture of my other Columbian Wyandotte for comparison - they are very, very different. The other one seems more appropriately colored and has FAR more feathers. The darker one has been slower to feather from the first week.

Colors will vary even within the same breed variety. I have some light Brahmas that cover a wide range from being very nicely colombian marked to being very heavily marked with black. They were all part of the same shipment from a hatchery.

I'm starting to wonder if the pointy feathers growing in around the mid-back are indicative of roo vs. pullet?

I know I'm supposed to look at saddle, hackle and tail feathers, but it STILL doesn't have any of those (10 weeks now). It actually hasn't changed much at all except for growing in some more of those mid-back feathers that are pointed at the tips.

And MORE white lacing around the edges of the black feathers. Starting to look very pretty, actually...

I've got 6 weeks left to call the hatchery if this is a roo.
