Update: OMGosh I was given a coop

Funny stuff ~ watch out for the chickens in the bathroom!!! And I thought it was bad when my 3yr old sometimes had to go in with me.

Good things come to good people dear, and we always get what we need more than what we want. I'm happy for you. Now to plan and build the run....

What a deal! Good for you. If it were me though I would make sure to scrub it out thoughly before putting any chickens in it. Not sure what I would use as I have heard bleach is not good...and I dont even have a coop yet

No, I went to go get it and the gentleman was having to run to get his horses loaded up to bring over. He was going to get them the day before and help me load the coop and bring it over but stuff happens. I did see it. It's cute! It's old and weathered a bit, but nothing a good sanding and new paint won't fix. It has chicken wire windows with plexiglass covers that hinge and lock over the openings. It has a people door, it's on legs, it has an egg collection door, a big roost and a board to get to the nest boxes and roost. It has a pop door with latch to let them outside. He also offered my daughter the rabbit hutch and the breeding pen.

I think the coop could use an extra foot or two for winter space on the back or something, but I can modify it and clean it up well enough. It even comes with free poop

Oh and I'm determined to pick it up Tuesday and rent a truck to do it by myself if I have to. His horses are in there now though so I need to bring carrot bribery.
