Update on my Boy **home 8-8-08**

Em, I'm so glad to hear your son is doing good and he is home. Sorry I was away for a while but I've been thinking of you. I hope you all get some rest.

How did it go being at home today?

Well, folks, he's re-admitted with yet another pleural effusion.

They didn't punch another chest tube in just yet. They did make him NPO after midnight, in case he needs one in the morning, which leads me to pretty much think they're going to do it in the AM once the surgeons do rounds.

I'm home tonight doing laundry and getting stuff together for another stay. My husband is with him tonight, I'm going down early tomorrow and staying the duration, my husband has to get back to work Monday.

I'm tired, and Buddy is just so sad. It scares me to see him lose his sparkle, you know?

Anyway, I'm going to request a laptop down there again when I get all settled in the AM, so I'll try to keep you all updated.

Oh! My prayers are with you all! My baby boy only has recurring pneumonia and bad asthma... No surgeries there. But it's heartbreaking to see them all hooked up to monitors, tubes and whatnot going every which way. I'm thinking of your boy for sure!!!
