Last week I had the same problem, I dont know why on earth they cant add just a little more packaging for warmth! Mine had 1/4 mat on bottom only! Most were a frozen solid mass! They said they will reship this week so I should expect them tomorrow... NOT looking forward to this, I have the gel pack ready to go but I used it on them last week and they still died wish me luck for tomorrow, NOT looking forward to this at all. And I thought since I waste so much cash on hatching eggs I would try shipped chicks, my death rate is 10x higher than shipped eggs!!

I hope they make it safe.
It was the post office fault as they held the whole shipment of chicks a extra day in Texas.I will see how many make it and get a new shipment next week or two.

I am so sorry! That must be just awful for you... I hope you are able to save some of the babies. Those pictures just make me want to cry... I will deffinitly be going into the post office the day my chicks ship to tell them to call me as soon as they arrive. I can't believe they would think its okay to leave live animals at the post office that long.

I called the local po she said shipments come in the morning and evening HOWEVER chicks would come on the morning ride..... I asked her how she knew this and she had no answer

Im so sorry for your chicks! I saw the pictures and wanted to cry! Oh my heart goes out to you! Did the other ones make it? Please keep us posted! What a terriable loss! Oh my! The post office should be ashamed of them self! You should show that picture to the post office and let them see what they did!! Again I'm very very sorry for your loss!

I had the same thing happen to me last week. I ordered 30 Japanese from cackle and all 30 were DOA. They were held over an extra day and were not packed properly for temperature either. It is just terrible to open a box like that! I cancelled my whole shipment and just took the cash reinbersement! I hope your little guys that are left make it. Good Luck
