(UPDATE p.4) BIG problem! All roosters but 1? I only bought pullets!

I'm in Jacksonville, NC- right next to Camp Lejeune & the beach.

We're trying not to give up hope even though things look bleak. At least I have some gals coming in from Ideal! I know I'm much too early, but I already have nesting boxes in the coop out of desperation!

I'll keep everyone posted and upload more pics in the coming weeks.

Well, I heard crowing at 5:30 this morning, so I threw my robe on and ran outside. It was Sibil! I posted an ad on a local yardsale site and by 10am Sibil the rooster had a great new home. I'm pretty bummed that I won't be collecting any of those double yolk eggs!

More crowing this morning. This time it was Wanda & our beloved Eileen. Eileen has already been rehomed with a nice family, and Wanda & Scrappy are posted on BYC in hopes of finding them new homes too. This is so hard to do.

Sorry to hear about your birds. Best of luck finding good homes. Also I know the area where you are from. I have been vacationing on North Topsail Island for 19 years. What a great place for a beach vacation.
