I am going to try the puppy formula I have for tonight and try to get cat formula tomorrow if she doesn't turn up.

Thanks, NoelTate. I will try the bucket. I am most worried about my cats finding her before I do

Yeah, my snakes would eat them, but I CAN'T!!! Yes, that would be great if I were close enough to try putting them with yours.

Wish I knew someone who had one here. But I will try to feed them. They are so precious. I already have my favorite picked out. Pretty sure it is a male.

If anyone wants to guess on the age, they are sorta fuzzy, have tiny little baby teeth in front, and their eyes are still shut but look to me like they may open soon. So maybe 7 days or so?

Well, I mixed up the puppy formula, got a soft towel to hold them for feeding, got a cup and q-tips ready to potty them, and mommy hamster ran across my foot!!!!! YAYYYYYYYY Thank you guys so much for your help! She is back with the babies seems happy to be!!!

LOL...yes, and I am sooooooo glad! I know she can feed them much better than I can. If the all make it the little dark one has a permanent home with me....I have become smitten!!!!!

Having worked in the small animal section at my petshop, I can tell you that especially Dwarf Hamsters are evil incarnate...they'll rip each other apart and kill their babies. And they're prone to getting wet tail quite easily.

Separating the two "females" was the best thing...ALSO, Momma hamster has 2 uteruses so she might give birth again in a month...so you might have 2 litters to have to deal with...

In my experience, it sounds like the kid's parents were like get rid of them, doesn't matter how...but to leave them in the sun just sucks...so you did a really great thing.

The only hamsters that seem to be okay being together at Long Haired/Teddy Bears, and Black Euros.

Glad Momma came back too...

I am putting the cage inside my bathtub now when I am not right there watching her....maybe there will be no more escapes.

I believe these hammies are going to be the death of me!!!!

I worked in a pet shop for about a year and one of the worst things I saw was a cage of adult gerbils. Came in to open up one morning and they were ALL ripped to shreds. Not a single one left alive. It was a small pet shop and we never had an animal of any sort give birth while I worked there, so all this is sooooooooo new to me. OH MY, I DO NOT want another litter of these things!!! Cute, but this is more than enough!!!!

I've come into work to find what looked like OJ and Vlad the Impaler came over for steak tartare. Parakeets cannabalizing each other. A headless female rat, fish with no eyes, and my favourite of all time, the pregnant male rat...
Because my manager was an idiot and didn't look up the animals' skirts before putting them in the cages and then ordering too darn many...

The most we ever put in the gerbil cage at my new store was 2 and you sorta had to keep an eye and make sure they weren't going at it.

I put the pregnant male rat in Iso and within 12 hours she had given birth...

OMG.....LOL and it is so easy to sex rats!!! That is too funny. I was actually about ready to get a new rat, all the cute rat pics on here lately had me missing them. *SIGH* I guess that is on the back burner now with the new addditions to the family.

Ya know, as much as I love ALL animals, there is something I just do not like about gerbils. NEVER met one I was fond of. May be a personal thing, I know I always felt a need to shave their tails.

Rodents need bald tails!!!! LOL
