yes that is what i am saying i am going to candle this weekend as it is my 2 week mark any of the non fertile and non devoloping eggs are going going gone that way i will have more room when the chickes arrive i did candle a dew last night it was fun watching them jump around, also my duck eggs are comming along good too thank goodness now if i can only wait another week for them lol

i just candled again and 8 for sure are not fertile but the rest are developing good besides one of the silkies i looked at it looked partially developed but not as ig as others and no movement so i might be down 1 more not sure tho but i am keeping my

I have only one week to go too!

I candled all mine yesterday and I have 18 healthy bouncing babies in my eggs. The dark ones are really difficult to see even with the stronger flashlight.
Anyone else have trouble seeing into the dark eggs?

what i actually found easier for the dark eggs was to take a small flashlight and shine it through the airsack(the top of egg) it helps the light through easier and spreads it out so you can tell where the chick is it worked for the egg i couldnt see since the beggining but when i shined it through the top i could see the chick just try it out let me know how it goes

Thanks, that is what I am finding out. The dark ones are difficult to even see the air cells I am finding.
I know they are developing though because they look almost black and they didn't look that way at first.
