Wow...I had toyed with the idea of maybe acquiring an incubator and trying to hatch a few eggs....but ..

I believe I will spend a little more time looking at all the post in this subject!! I want to learn as much as I can before I venture into this pond!!! LOL!!

Oh yeah, the bator is right next to my computer and I am in and out of there all day!
I just found an egg with a crack in it. Tossed it. Whew, glad it didn't explode. It was one of the mixed ones so no big loss. It was one that had looked dark when I candled it but I didn't think it looked quite right. Now I know why.

same her ei just candled for the last time for this hatch late last night well out of the 44 i had left in there it only looked as if 2 maybe 3 were not still developing, its really sad tho as 2 of those 3 are one of the 3 silkie eggs i have and the other one is one of my really dark green ee eggs as it had a crack on top that was little but got bigger, and the other i believe could be a nn egg or a mutt egg not sure but 4 1/2 more days to go YaY

number 49 is the one with the cracked that i suspect did not make it it was one of my nicest eggs but i know number 19 is developing too as i saw movement and i still believe it is still a double yoak but i will let you guys now

another update today is the 18th day since setting them and i got a pip already im so eggcited i cant wait for a chick now

Yeah, I have the one next to my computer and I just started my home made bator yesterday but had to put that one in my bathroom as I didn't have room for both in the computer room. I check them everytime I go in there and sometimes extra times too as I pass that room every time I come out of the computer room.
The chicks when they hatch will be in brooders right outside my computer room in the hallway. I can hardly wait!

my chicks will be in my computer which is my bedroom so i see them costintlly and i know that nobody disturbed them when i get company.
i dont mean to laugh when u said in the bathroom its a good laugh because im saying the most 2 convent rooms
